I thought a joining thread with Eris (especially with Niobe :o) would be interesting. >_> (304)

The sable-furred canine did not patrol the borders. It did not occur to her that such a thing ought to be done; she was not quite so used to this clan life. It was entirely accidental that she was strolling back into the clan's territory, having slept most of yesterday after her adventures with Larkspur. There was still a strange fuzziness to her mind. The world seemed to move at a slower clip than it usually did, and Eris was unusually calm, almost to the point of serenity. She had awoken ravenously hungry, and so she had taken to the forest with Itzcitla for the feline to hunt. They roamed far south of the mansion, almost outside of the clan's territory entirely, and it was twenty minutes or so before the cat was able to bring down a rabbit. Eris held the corpse by the ears, swinging it back and forth merrily as she walked. Her stomach growled and roared for food, and though she'd just eaten yesterday to replenish herself, the sable-furred woman thought nothing of her hunger. It was normal after a trip like that.

There was a sort of electricity still to the sable-furred canine, and when she saw the stranger, she strolled right over, her chartreuse eyes regarding the other canine skeptically. Of course, she did not recognize her own half-brother in her—Eris had only known him three months of her life, and her memories him were distant and vague. The shadowy hybrid did not yet even know he was dead; she had been spared this knowledge by her mother. Everything was a mystery yet to Eris. “They don't like it when you touch those, you know,” she said, her phlegmatic tone indicating she didn't give a rat's ass if the skulls got knocked over and smashed to bits.
