Here it was, finally, the pack's one year anniversary. Since discussing it with Vigilante, and deciding that they would have a ball to celebrate, the blind woman had been anticipating this evening for quite sometime. Of course, she only knew it was evening because Vigilante had told her it would be at night, and here she was holding the arm of her mate. She wore her best dress, one she had just recently found with the help of Vigilante's mate, Ayita. It had the appearance of an old, western costume dress, somewhere in between a saloon girl outfit and a formal evening gown. It's dark blue color went well with her fur, and its design flattered her feminine figure. Heath had said she looked beautiful in it, which had been her goal. As long as he liked it, nothing else mattered.
As she and Heath walked into the ballroom, she smiled in Vigilante's direction. She was just as proud of their pack as he, having been there that night when Jac had given them all their first positions in the pack, and given them the name of Cour des Miracles. It was a shame he was not here to share in this celebration, for she knew he loved to party. However, there was no use fretting over the fact that he was gone. She'd done her grieving, for far too long now that she thought of it. Tonight was about celebrating those who were here, those that had stuck it out. The Miracle's pack had gone through much during its first year, each member deserved to share in this moment. She knew there would be opportunities to sing tonight, and she had the perfect song picked out. She'd even practiced it while she had been getting ready for tonight bathing in the nearest source of freshwater she could find. The blind lautari was satisfied that she had picked a good song, so when it was time she would give it her very best effort. Milky blue eyes flashed around the room, ears perked, lips curved in a proud, excited smile. Cour des Miracles had done it. Now it was time to celebrate.
