Strel chuckled along where he was supposed to, lingering near the growing group as he was the most at ease in such a group. It was easy, considering he knew most of the people here, and the few he did not were almost familiar faces. Maybe he was getting to know everyone. It seemed impossible, but maybe he really was. As people filtered in, he recognized both their faces and their outfits, grinning to himself with pride. It was great to see his handiwork being worn at this kind of event. Alaine wandered in, but she did not join the group he stood in. He would have gone to take her and make her join them (and brag of his work), but more people came in around him. Strel was distracted; he would make it up to Alaine later.
The duds that Haven was sporting were his work as well, and he grinned as the man joined them. The Seneschal went off to put away his instrument. Looks like he was less nervous now. That was good. "Nice outfit there, Haven," he complimented slyly, giving a look to the man. It looked like he was really the only single guy in this group. Now that was ridiculous. There were, what, three couples in this group alone, especially since Ayita showed up with her daughter and brother in tow. Well, he was a single guy, and it was likely he would be single for a long time from what Zafier had shown him earlier.
Ayita walked away before he could say anything, making him frown a bit. Well, she did need to go make kissy faces to her mate. Like the other couples. Strel saw that man's son looking awkward near a woman. He really seemed out of his element, dressed up like that. But it was cute to see him looking kind of flustered. Definitely not like his father. The redhead's eyes shifted to Ayita's brother, who walked away, clearly not at home here either. Slipping away from the group, Strelein moseyed over to Zafier. "Now, what could a guy like you be doing here? Surely this isn't your forte."
