The first to greet her upon entering the room was Strelein, the pack's tailor. Ruri had yet to spend much time with the man, but she felt as though she already knew him fairly well. He was very nice, and the fact that he had offered to play his lute tonight made her very excited. She had yet to hear such an instrument, though she guessed it was somewhat like Haven's guitar. As he complimented her on her looks, Ruri couldn't help but blush. She had gotten a great reaction from Heath earlier, it seemed she would be blushing most of the night. While it didn't really matter if people thought she was pretty, she couldn't deny that it made her feel good. "Thank you very much Strelein, that means a lot, and yes I'm going to sing tonight. I can't wait to hear your lute,"
More people kept coming over the next few minutes, and she continued to clasp Heath's arm, now with a bit more firmness than before. Unusually she was a bit nervous. This was probably the biggest occasion she had ever sung for, but she couldn't let her nervousness show, not now especially. She knew that Haven had just arrived, she could smell him and Princess as they entered. When he came over to their little group, Ruri smiled and turned towards the pair of luperci. "Good evening Haven, Princess, good to see you...well so to speak," she giggled, referencing the fact that she couldn't see. She knew that if she was even a bit nervous, Haven was very nervous. He hadn't been sure about playing his guitar and accompanying her as she sang, but he had accepted on the condition that she would be there. Well she was here and she would do her best to calm her nerves. She had sung many times. She was experienced. Haven would be her performance partner tonight, and she would do her best to make it fun for him.
Next came Ayita, the woman who had helped her find her dress, and her current summer clothes. She brought others with her, that she had yet to meet. However, her question was snatched from her mouth as Ayita introduced the two strangers, one was her daughter Amaranth and the other was her brother Zafier who then greeted Heath and herself. "Good to see you too Ayita," she addressed the other woman before turning to Amaranth who had just spoken to her,"Nice to meet you Amaranth, and yes I do speak a little French." She smiled as the young woman excused herself to go find her friends. Turning to Zafier, Ruri nodded to his greeting and responded, "It's a pleasure to meet you as well Zafier, please enjoy yourself," then Ayita excused herself to go find Vigilante. The blind lautari would wait a bit longer, let everyone finish greeting one another before heading for the stage. She wasn't quite ready. The same could be said for everyone else. She'd give it time, just a bit more time.
