Hands to build a house; Hearts to build a home

Niro was extremely excited to get started, he hurried to one of the more sturdy trees nearby, and let his red tail hop up, and he tethered him to the branch, which would be sturdy enough so the bird wouldn’t escape, then tied the makeshift cage nearby, putting Marahute in. Marahute didn’t really need a cage, she couldn’t hop, walk or fly, but given what they were doing he’d not risk the chick getting hurt. He hurried back to the small group in time to hear Anann ask her final question.

I’m pretty handy with an axe, not the best, but I can use one

He’d used an axe to chop the trees down he needed for the cage that was set up in the stables, and he’d used it to cut down the trees into small enough pieces to use on the cage. He was sure he could handle whatever Anann had for him to do. He loved building things next to his birding, and his newly learned leather working, he wasn’t the best but he knew he could be decent enough to make a pretty good cage and trap for birds, he’d even made shelter only big enough for him and his sister back in the slums in Florida, they never lasted, but he and his sister never planned on staying in one place. Then he noticed Rurik, and definitely his daughter, and watching her made him blush scarlet and turn away to keep her from seeing him looking at her. he knew he had a crush on her since the day he saw her back when Rurik taught him how to fish, but he was too afraid to approach her, she was so pretty and he was just a scruffy mohawk maned pup. Not to mention he respected her father as well as her brother and knew how protective he would be if his sister had some idiot swooning over her.
