Once the work began the fact that Lily was there didn’t seem to matter as much. He was a working man, and he knew if he didn’t help then things would be slower. He’d agreed to the work and he loved it. It wasn’t just a walk in the park, and he didn’t expect it to be. He did everything he was told and helped his partner. He was good on his word about being pretty handy with his hands, any mistakes he made wouldn’t have caused a total disaster, and were easily fixed by him, but there was only one. He watched the whole progress at the corner of his eye, and couldn’t believe how quickly things were progressing. It really was starting to look like a building of some sort rather than a pile of logs. He wondered if he could get a place like this made for him, but he knew he was going to the lighthouse with Orin, he hadn’t fixed any of the outer parts of it yet but he’d started tidying the inside. this was totally different it was a construction of a whole new building, and Niro loved it.
