The silver-shaded werewolf picked up the axe easily, thumping its thick handle against his hand. It was a sturdy tool, and it would serve him well. The Russian werewolf listened eagerly to the woman speak her instructions, trying to pay close attention. He had never undertaken a project of this magnitude before, and he was certainly glad there were so many hands and strong horses to assist them. Things moved along quicker than Rurik expected; as they worked in relative silence, only the occasional murmur for a tool or an adjustment passing between them, the house began to take shape, rising from nothingness to provide shelter and warmth for Anann. The silver-shaded werewolf was growing hot beneath the sun, and so he paused for a moment to sip at his flask, whistling softly. “Hard verk, but no time for rest yet, eh?” he said to no one in particular, getting back to work as quickly as he'd stopped.
Liliya was not particularly experienced with horses—she had ridden a few times in her life, and there had been quite a few of them in Sobirat'sya. Usually the horses up that way were huge draft animals, so the size didn't quite bother her—it was simply that she had never actually done work with these animals before. Riding for pleasure was a different beast entirely, and despite her nervousness, Liliy smiled and nodded. “Of course,” she said, rather glad there was no awkwardness she could detect here. She did not know who Heath was, but it was easy enough to figure out—he was the only one other than Anann she didn't know. The tawny-hued woman was not working nearly as hard as anyone else, though, and she realized this after a few moments—while everyone else seemed to busy themselves quite well, Liliya was still almost at a loss as to what to do, so she followed after Heath and the horses, moving back and forth around the logs to make sure they were secured and not jostled too much.
