They had run into a few snags, but the problems were few and far between. It had been slow at the start, but as the work went on the pass quickened. For Anann it was never a dull moment as she was constantly checking to make sure everything was as it should be. She had been slightly disappointed when it had not been Anatoliy that had paired up with her, but it was probably for the best. At least this was she was actually getting her work done. She made sure each log was placed where it needed to be and proper spacing was left for windows and doors. It was not only the construction she watched (as well as helped with) but those she was working with as well. Everyone was working hard and doing their part. Anann felt it spoke a lot about the fabric of the pack. The cool morning hours vanished far too quickly and it wasn't long before the heat of the day was encroaching upon them.

As the hours had passed, the walls of her soon-to-be home had went up nearly as quickly. The sun was high in the sky and shade around there work place was slim. But since the walls were up and they would be starting to frame up the roof Anann figured it was as good of time as any for a break. Everyone had earned a rest, if not a bite to eat and cool drink. Good work, everyone. It's starting to get a bit warm so why don't we take a break. I've got dried meat if anyone's hungry and the spring has plenty of water. Thanks again, everyone, for your help! She had expected the work to go as fast as it had, that was for sure. She had called them here to work, but she didn't intend to work them to death and without food or water.

Before Anann headed down to the spring for a drink she helped Heath with the horses. They had done there part and deserved a drink as well. The logs that would be used for framing the roof were small and light compared to those that made up the walls. The wolves would be able to handle them just fine without the help of the horses. Everyone seems to be having a good time, she said to Heath. Has Rem been behaving? She doubted he would give Heath any real trouble but he was still ornery. Once the horses were unstrapped she walked down to the spring fed pool with Heath and the horses. She grabbed a strip of jerky from the pack that had been sitting in the shade, just waiting for them. So, anyone got a good story? A simple attempt at starting conversation.
