Many had come after him in their attempts to silence the beast forever. None had succeeded so far. Canines glinted viciously as they dove to get a taste of the Aquila, but they were both in motion now; dancing their way closer to death. Crazed blue did not leave the man’s form as he followed the moving man with ease, yet he continued to fail to tear at that flesh. More than a few seconds had yet to pass though, and the beast was confident in his advances. Self preservation was no longer as prominent as it once had been. A rush of blood to the head and the monster was all that he was said to be. He was arrogant as only a God could hope to be. There was no doubt in the beast’s mind that this would eventually lead up to a beautiful kill. The mortal lives that were to end today were not significant. He was not worried.
Gabriel was dangerous to his continued existence here. It was only insanity keeping care from the beast’s features. While the demon was ancient, it could not extinguish instinct and the madness within its own vessel. The spearhead came down on him then, and the secui threw his hulking body to the side, yet felt the stab connect just above the left shoulder blade. The injury was retrieved in silence, and while red came forth, there was not enough strength behind it to inflict terrible damage. Oh, no. Blood touched the beast’s sensitive nostrils and all he could do was continue to burn the man with his electric blue eyes, hunger soundlessly wailing within the ravaged soul that housed them. Again, he flew at the man, keeping motion swift and aiming for the man’s legs. He wanted the man to fall; to kneel before the demon that had haunted his life for so long.
