Blood splattered against his face and Gabriel was proven to be mortal. His blood tasted as blood should, but there was an added taste of victory when the demon’s teeth pierced through the other man’s skin and dug deep into his cheek. Of course, he had to pay for what he took. He felt sharp clawed fingers attempt to dig into his soft eye socket, and he jerked away and as he attempted to save his sight. He would never know, for something else happened immediately after. He had terrorized these lands for so long and no one had been able to put an end to his terror. But Gabriel held the dagger.

Haku knew pain and handled it well. Or so he had believed. Over the years his nerves had slowly died and nothing seemed real enough to torture him anymore. He could bleed, but not feel. It occurred to him, as the dagger dug through flesh and sinew, that he had never known pain before this moment. His flesh attempted to jerk away from the sharpened stone that already had its cruel grip on his flesh. It burned. Gabriel’s face was forgotten as jaws opened without a sound; rumble dead within the depths of his chest. The devil coughed; fresh scarlet staining the Aquila’s face . Gasping for air and choking lightly on his own blood, he was torn between trying to wrestle away from the hybrid and continuing to ruin that arrogant face.

There seemed to be a limited amount of time now, for his body seemed to move against him now; weighting his vengeful spirit down. He recognized the numbness that wanted to settle, but fought against the loss of control while his chocolate and cream fur turned wet red.
