He was surprised to learn that Larkspur was this boy uncle, but such news did little more than to lift the Dahlian’s eyebrows. He would never know as much about the surrounding territories and the packs as he would like. His place was here, and the pack came first in all matters. Larkspur was not amongst the members he socialized with regularly, but the man had proven his worth well, and seemed to do well as the pack’s hunter. With the last member of the Stormbringer litter found, he had hoped the immigration of lost puppies was at its end. The Valley wolf before him was young, but hardly a child any longer. He could be put to use at once. The alpha’s curiosity was far from sated. While this seemed to be a good candidate, he thought it was strange to see such a young soul that already belonged to a nearby pack stand here and want access.

”And I am Conor Soul, and I know your uncle,” the male answered truthfully. "Our packs are within close proximity—for what reasons do you seek acceptance into Dahlia de Mai?” It had to be more than to simply stay with his uncle, surely? Conor chose trust more often than not, but whenever he asked questions he required an answer. Teenagers could be hasty and make decisions that were not well thought through.
