It would be stupid for her to believe that her happiness would live forever. But it felt so strong, and lived so deeply rooted in her that Mati could not see how it could be reach by an outsider and ripped from within. It had taken what felt like forever, trials and errors that she had faced again and again, but they had finally allowed her peace in her near two years; peace and love without heartache or pain. The world was a tragic place, more so then Mati Church would ever know or understand, and she knew it all could have been worse. But she had fought her fight, and her heart was whole and well and she knew she was blessed because of it.

The feeling traveled with her and she wandered away from her home and towards the north. It was not a common avenue for the female, who would likely venture towards the Cours pack lands to visit Haven or south to the beach. But she needed a change, and her legs were long and able to carrier her far rather quickly. Purple eyes danced over the landscape, taking in the rich colors of summer, the foliage engulfing her as she passed beneath the old trees. It was rocky terrain at times, and at other moments the trail was defined and worn. She held a trinket in her fingers, a bell that she had found in a town not far from the woodlands she ventured through. It was not as large as the city, and the shops had been few and filled with mainly useless things such as the high pitched bell. But she liked such things, and the tiny bell could be put on anything. A new wind chime for outside the window of her sunroom, a necklace that would tell anyone with the caution to listen that she approached, placed on the end of a paint brush so that it could sing as she moved it over canvas.

A day dream made her stumble across a familiar scent, and it made her pull away from her thoughts easily. She smiled, and walked quietly towards it's origin. Before long she found him, his pale pelt seen through the gaps of leaves and branches. Hi, Kansas. She greeted him as she broke through the foliage gracefully. She hoped that she was not interrupting, what brings you out here? her question fueled by curiosity.
