No Cars Go.

What some forgot was that life was not just short. It was long as well. For as many decisions that needed to be made with the mind set that life was too sort, just as many were made with the idea that in the long run it would be for the best. Anu had found that in young age there was a mentality to believe that life was nothing but short, but she had learned that if one was lucky it could be long and just as wonderful as it was hard. She would prepare her sons for such a life, teach them to take their time in deciding who they would spend their lives with, and where to let life take them. Perhaps it was her luck that allowed her to live to this age, but Anu had come to learn that some days needed to be made so that they were worth living, and her co rank brought joy to herself and those that were greeted with the pleasant scent and sight of her garden as well as the fruit of the orchard. Even in the rush of days gone by a small bit of beauty was a reminder to appreciate the little things that can be overlooked so very easily.

Anu listened contently, her hand picking up another book, looking at it and finding that it was not something that she thought would be good for the boys. Nayru’s choice was interesting, blue eyes looking up and watching the face of the black and white patched female. There are few that flower, but those that do are certainly beautiful. Anu spoke, thinking heavily on her answer. No wonder you were drawn to this place The buildings of the University were covered in vines, ever so slowly engulfing the stone structure.

Sensing that the Dahlian was content with what she had found Anu looked at the pile that she had accumulated. Pumpkins. She said with a nod. Anu believed the answer to be honest, though it was not the first plant that came to mind. She loved a flower, so delicate and beautiful but the thought of it brought the memory of Colibri to her mind far to painfully. There had been lady slippers in her garden last summer, but she hadn’t tended them this spring enough to keep them alive. Her pumpkin patch would flourish as it always did with only a small bit of care. They have bright yellow flowers, long vines and large leaves. And pumpkins are fun. She spoke with a smile, picking up the stack of books and resting them on her hip. Shall we? She asked, motioning to the door.
