There was no nervousness in the Russian wolf; Kaena was glad for this. His induction to the clan had not been the smoothest process. Hybrid hadn't made it easy, and the scarred canine had half understood why, half suspected Hybrid had in some way provoked Silas. Either way, the Agata had become a fixture in the coyote clan, and the scarred woman was glad for his presence. Though she did not think he had the same black streak, the same aggressiveness found in herself and Hybrid, he was a tall, muscular man, and the intimidation factor alone he might provide by standing with them was useful enough in and of itself.
He spoke, and the coyote nodded mutely, figuring this newcomer to have been invited over the border to Silas. She had never heard Gabriel give an edict regarding visitors, but she knew well enough the clan's policy; whatever happened on Inferni lands, the guest's clan representative was responsible for. The coyote did not think this was such a strange policy as to arouse cries of protest from the clan's members; it made sense to her, after all. Trespassers were another matter entirely, of course—anyone with eyes could look at the skulls ringing the clan's perimeter to determine how the coyotes felt about that.
“He's in the mansion, then?” she said, assuming the answer was positive. The Russian nodded and turned, holding open the door. The coyote stepped through it, glad that her Optime footfalls were not marred by injury. The door shut quietly behind her, and the coyote looked about the mansion. It was not an entirely unfamiliar place to her, but she had not spent an incredible amount of time here, either. She made her way toward the sitting room with Silas following behind her, her lone eye sizing up the dark-furred man who sat on one of the couches as she entered the room. The hybrid was silent, glancing away from the newcomer and toward Silas, intent on gleaning information from him prior to questioning the charcoal-furred hybrid.
