The direction they had chosen had been random. Savina didn't care where they went, as long as they were together any place would be wonderful to her. She loved Crimson Dreams and all that it held, but these times they spent with only one another as company were dear and she held them close to her heart. It reminded her of their very first encounter, out on the deck of the manor in the middle of a rainstorm. Even though the whole pack had been nestled away inside the walls behind them, it had felt as if they were all alone. Like the fates had orchestrated that moment just for them. As they ran together over the landscape those were the images that played in the back of her mind like a movie. For all intents and purposes, she had given her heart to him that first time. No one else had ever made it beat the way he did.

When her flight stopped and he nearly fell with the surprise of it, she paused for a moment, hoping she hadn't inadvertently forced him to hurt himself. His balance was quickly regained though and he barked at her, his body held in the quintessential play pose. The dark woman grinned, her tail racing behind her. With a playful growl she leaped toward him, catching his ear carefully in her teeth. She shook it lightly as she pawed at him, trying to catch some ticklish place. Savina had only ever played like this with her siblings and her pups. However, her romps with Ehno and Ghita were confined to their childhood, and once their most recent litter grew into adulthood such play would likely stop with them as well. The Commander couldn't help but feel light around Kansas though, and it felt good to be so carefree and wild.
