As the woman tried to tell Kaena she was alright, the hybrid made a stern face, circling around her once more in an attempt to assess the full extent of the damage. Her golden-yellow eye was wide with fright and fear; whoever had done this might still be lurking nearby, and what use was this pair of lame women, both battered beyond recognition? “No you're not,” the hybrid woman said, this time stern and intending to sound it—it was easy enough for the sable woman to agree after a moment.

She did not know how to stop the bleeding, and Snake would be able to provide proper care for Lucia.
