Digging Up The Past

OOC here: Sorry, ended up getting distracted yesterday and then internet went down for awhile; 550 words

As has become a habit Izaak was out exploring away from Inferni again. He had met quite a few during this routine. Had been a few places. And found a ton of interesting things. On every trip he found something to bring back with him. Something extra to place on his Unky Cotl's bed. Something that he ended up forgetting about the next time that something new was brought back. What the older male did with all the stuff that the boy brought back was uncertain. Izaak generally forgot about all the things that he brought back so it didn't quite matter. He could hardly remember what he brought back because his attention slipped that easily to some new thing. The items could easily be tossed out or hidden and Izaak wouldn't know the difference. He always finds something else to steal his attention and interest. There is always something else for him to want to partake in and of. Always something else that he ends up bringing back and forgetting all about. But that was just the way that the coyote boy was. There were so many things that captured his attention but none that seemed able to hold it for too long a period of time.

Izaak hadn't gone all too far from Inferni this time. He was still a good distance away but he hadn't traveled near where other packs were. Not as he usually seemed to do. This time he had stuck to the north. Instead of traveling south he had gone to the west. Gone just about as far as he could go. He had romped through the trees until he had found a hidden village. It looked nothing like the city of Halifax that his brother/cousin had told him about. No, it seemed too simple to be that place. So he had no idea what it really was. Just that it was small and hidden and time didn't seem to have caused too make damage. Buildings were still standing and didn't seem on the verge of collapse. The buildings here seemed to have been sturdily built. Though they were small, nothing at all like the mansion that he was staying in. But that smallness seemed to make them cozy rather than claustrophobic.

Izaak moved slowly around the small village, staring in amazement at this hidden little world. Outside one of the cabins he found a wooden wagon. He ended up grabbing the handle and pulling it around behind him as he continued to explore. One the porch of another cabin he found a small butter churn and placed it on the wagon simply because it looked interesting. He had no idea what it was and so he had to take it back to show his Unky Cotl and ask about it. It was what he did with everything that he found of interest since he had no idea what hardly anything was. His wagon was left on the porch of another house, he had tried to pull it inside but it wouldn't fit through the door, as he went inside to look around. In the pantry he found some preserves and took them back to the wagon to sit inside with the churn. It took a few trips to get all of the jars plus an old milk jug. He continued to explore the house, looking for more things to take with him and show off.
