Going Hunting

Harro! Man this would be funny if more joined. Then again.. Mala might get killed. XD.
Word count: 428. OMG I CAN HAS POINTS? ...No...? -cry-. Kidding!

What an unsuccessful day of looking for food. The big creature came trotting from the seas onto the extremely rocky part of the Waste, her muzzle and a couple paws still dripping wet. The rest of her body, however, was completely dry. This might've looked odd to any passerby who might have taken notice, but Malachi didn't much care to explain. A couple of times, her big paws slipped into rocky crevices, and she winced as she took a moment or two to nudge it free. This continued on until she looked upon soft sand, and seemed to lumber on a bit quicker to feel it under her digits.

"Ah... better," Mala exclaimed, taking the relaxing moment to shake any loose water off of her. Now, while she didn't have the problem of rocks anymore, now she had sand sticking on her four legs. Ugh, great. Luckily for her, though, she spotted grass not far off, and playfully made a leap towards it. She laughed all the way towards the grass, which melted into the sand before becoming green all on its own. If only her friends back at the tribe were here, she loved to play wrestle in soft grass.

That thought was quickly replaced by sadness, however, and Malachi shook her head a little violently to ward it off, like an annoying fly. She chose to replace it by surveying the scene before her, which was tall grass swaying in the wind. At this, she smiled, and continued to walk forward with no particular place in mind.
She stopped, though, once she saw the black form of... something.. leaping out and back in, then back out and in again. What was that creature tossing? Food? Mala's stomach growled at that, but she never far better than to steal another creature's kill. She was amused, however, as the creature seemed to play with the small rodent-like thing, until she couldn't see it anymore.

For some reason, she was more curious than she was nervous about approaching, though she took a few steps forward and stopped. From what she could see, it was a wolf or dog of some sort.. she couldn't put her claw on it exactly. Malachi laughed a little louder than she expected herself to, but quickly silenced herself as the dog raised up with blood around its muzzle. The creature swallowed hard, but she began to speak again a little tentatively.

"That looked fun. I like hunting, too, though it was a lot easier with my pack." Ohhh, Malachi. What are you doing now?
