How twisted this world was. And how twisted and cruel Haku Soul had been. She was right; this affected him and he did deserve to know, he guessed. The last amount of information was hard to receive, but no doubt it was more difficult for her. Conor believed that he had an idea of what it was like to lose a child. While he had none of his own, he had helped taking care of the majority of the orphans ending up in Dahlia de Mai. It was hard when one of them just disappeared and never returned to the house. He couldn’t decide if it was best not knowing what had become of them. Most of the ones that disappeared did not stay for long, so he could always hope that they had been found by their biological parents or that they had wandered off to better places. What was it like for Tayui to know that the father of her children had murdered one of them. No, Conor could not guess what she was going through.

”I’m.” This was absolutely excruciating. It made him furious, but he needed to maintain his cool for the pale woman’s sake. ”I’m so sorry, Tayui,” And there, it seemed he remembered her name after all. The male’s eyes remained dry despite the immerse hole opening up within, but the lavender held hurt. The parents shouldn’t outlive their children. There were words for children who lost their parents. There were words for those who lost their mate. There was no exclusive word to describe a parent that had lost its child. He guessed it was gruesome; unimaginable. Conor wanted to know more, but his mouth was dry and he feared this subject now. This woman must be carrying mountains of weight upon her shoulders. Oh, yes, Conor Soul was angry. It was better than to focus on the hurt. ”That bastard,” the alpha spat, finding it impossible to remain calm any longer.
