Set in The Waste. For one other character to reply to, please! Smile Silas thread now omg! :O

Hybrid had been faced with a particular kind of itch to venture forth and examine the remains of Inferni once more. It was a morbid curiosity, for no matter how many times he saw it, he could not believe fire could do this. That warmth, that spark, could it really create such devastation? If only he could find a way to harness this power and make it his own, he would be unstoppable. Now, he realized why all the canines had evacuated Bleeding Souls -- when faced with this kind of mess, it was not surprising at all. In that moment, Hybrid desperately wondered what it would be like to be set on fire.

He shook off the question and continued making his way south, venturing farther and farther away from Inferni. He had continued his patrols of Arachnea's Revenge, hunting for his favourite kitten, but he had not seen her in months. Why, the pale young girl seemed to have spooked! This disappointed him greatly, but he would not lose hope. He would find her soon.

Hybrid quickened his pace and soon, he neared the edge of the burnt territory. He could see the spider-filled forest stretch out for kilometres ahead; he wondered if his kitten was hiding or waiting for him. With one last glance over his shoulder to cement the image in his mind, he continued onward. It was only midday and there was plenty of time to kill before he went for a hunt. He hoped to track down Snake or Halo and fell a deer -- that would be a wonderful way to end the day. Now if only he could find his kitten!
