Smaller steps would be easier for her to take. Ember knew that she wasn't ready for some things, but she wanted certain aspects of others. She desired to be close to someone but wasn't sure how they would be able to handle her, mentally. She had many problems and was still trying to conquer some of them herself. She didn't want to put those problems onto someone else. At the same time, though, she needed someone to be there for her.
"I wonder if any pups you had would all be black like you" She said. Her pups had been brown..but the one that had actually been born dead had been black like her. Ember sighed and pulled back for a moment, looking him in the eye. "I really like having you around. I don't know if I'd have made it these last few months without you." She admitted.
