white lights are blinding

He could tell that he was fading quickly. His two months alone had taught him a lot about his body, and he knew he was going to fall asleep soon. He wondered briefly whether his Aunt Bris would just take him home, to see Gideon and to fall asleep in a nice, comfy, safe place. But surely the alpha would be mad if Bris just bought someone back? These questions rang rings around his mind for a moment, worry painting his face. He wasnt the type to just take and give nothing back. He worried constantly about seeming rude or ungrateful. But at this moment, he just needed to sleep. And when he woke up, he would take his bath and go for his run. This routine had slipped easily into Saul, taking hold of him in its hard grip and refusing to let go. It was strange that he enjoyed this routine, he was not a slave to it as he would perhaps grow to be. Cinnamon-backed ears perked as his aunts soothing words cut through his internal fussing. A soft smile traced his lips before he glanced up at Bris.

"Que, Aunt Bris. I hope Gideon's okay..."

He thanked her, although his voice was rough it managed to maintain a tender note when he spoke of his younger brother. It was one of the things that could be said about Saul- he loved his siblings more than anything in the world. His stomach jolted at his aunts movements and the young male panicked for a moment. He had never been this far off the ground and his stomach flipped nervously. If there was anything in there, he would have thrown it up on his aunts beautiful white coat. For the first time in his life, Saul was sorely glad he was starving. There was no excuse for throwing up on someone. Still, his aunt grew still, her voice vibrating off of him as she told him what he had been waiting for.

"S'okay Aunt Bris. We're home now..."

Were his finaly words before the swaying motion of his aunt overrided his need to stay away. A mighty yawn stretched his jaw, ending in an adorable squeek. Saul was supposed to be the strong one, but right now he looked ver vulnerable. Tucking his tawny head into the crook of his aunts arm, Saul let her swaying movements lull him into sleep. He would wake up in a strange bed tomorrow and everything would be thrown upside down.
