His scent was close... So, so near. Ralla dismounted and followed the scent directly to Kemo--his head visibly poking out from a hollow beneath the roots of a tree--and she slowed before knocking on a tree to alert him, if Sugar's panting and her dismount had not already done so to the sharp-hearing wolf. "Kemo...?" She was awkward in starting her sentence, since she had ended their last conversation on such a harsh note. She swallowed thickly and came nearer, only a few yards away, waiting for his response. Would he beckon her closer? Refuse her to speak to him? She prayed that his welcom to her would not be as cold as the winds that were fast sweeping the AniWayan lands, and she waited for what seemed like hours as seconds ticked by, the drum of her blood loud in her ears.

Few times had she felt such suspense, and all revolved around her previous life and Kemo's appearance. She wondered, briefly, if such a recurring theme was healthy...

She fiddled, now, with her claw and tooth necklaces with one hand as her claws on her feet sifted the dirt in and out as per her nervous habit. If Kemo could see, he would see a nervous wreck who had one-too-many-things on her mind. But since he couldn't, she always had that last option that, should he refuse, she would pluck up the courage to shout her vision to him; getting the point across without trouble and without guilt later.
