Two days of running no longer seemed such a vast amount of time, given her history of travel. Ralla was hard-pressed to forget her worries during the trip, but they refused to giver her piece. At night they rested, and Ralla told Kemo and Sugar stories of whatever she knew; foreign or native. Singing, story-telling, and reading the stars were the few things that gave Ralla peaceful solace. Kemo's company was much appreciated--rather, beyond normal friendship; it gave her the same feelings as the aforementioned activities--and she was happy to run the expanse around the Gryffindor territory that she had yet to inspect. True, she had been close once before, but she had not ventured to trouble their neighbors.

Coming upon the Dirty Mudbloods and Squibs territory was quite alike to how she had first met Anatoliy; a wall of trees suddenly giving way to clearing. Except now, that clearing was much larger. The beach stretched out in the distance, and although Ralla could feel the memory of sand beneath her paws--her first memory of Nova Scotia, when she arrived and began her flight to Muggles--she held herself and the party back from going any further. There, on the boundary of the kingdom, as she had learned it was called, she dropped the rope and howled her peculiar sound. It was a staggering of staccato notes followed by the last note drawn out, and also the same howl that she used to call Sugar. His ears perked up, him adding a low whicker in harmony, as she let the sound burst from her chest so as to travel as far as it need be. Hopefully Anatoliy would come--maybe remember her voice from those moons ago--or maybe another kind wolf that would allow them audience.

All they could do was wait.
