Despite the fact that he appeared to have offended the black cat, Saul was still rather interested in her. She seemed almost attatched to Tsukiko, and although Saul had never heard of, or seen, the concept of a companion, he liked the idea that this cat was there for the young female. It made him think about maybe getting a companion of his own- considering the fact that he rarely saw his brothers and his sister was still missing in action. He wondered whether their father had found her yet, maybe even taken her home with him. Or maybe she was still on her own, out in the wilderness. His face grew a subtle shade of sad when he thought about Shiloh, about all the thing he didnt know or understand about it. Ears pricked forward as the feline spoke again, dry words reprieving him from his mistake. He dipped his head softly towards her, a gentle smile taking hold.

"Thank you Miss Setsuna"

Came warm tones, his tail flickering softly back and forward. He glanced down at the tea once more, noticing the mesmerising ways in which the steam floated from its surface. It made patterns in the air, curling and licking and writhing in all which directions. Saul wanted to know how this was done, but he was all at once hit by just how ignorant he was. He had mistook Tsukiko's cat for an object, he didnt understand the concept of hot water. Dipping his head, he allowed his stinging tongue to lash out once more across the surface of the liquid. It was a tad cooler than before, and it seemed the burn had reduced the effects this time. It tasted sweet in his mouth and he glanced up towards Tsukiko with a large grin on his cheeks.

"Japan... I have never heard of it! Was it a nice place? Why did you leave?"

His prying questions were not meant to hurt her, he was simply curious as to why she was here instead of home. He was oblivious to the fact that her parents were dead, she being forced to migrate over to Nova Scotia. How could he possibly have known this. Her delicate words warmed his ears again and he nodded eagerly. Eyeing the tea once more, he tested it with a few laps of his heated tongue. It was cooling enough now for him to really taste it, and he was glad he had waited for his. It really did taste amazing.

"Its delicious Tsukiko! Thank you!"

He hummed, tail running back and forward as he drank some more. He was careful not to break the bowl or drink too quickly- he didnt want to be rude now.
