Honestly he had simply assumed that he could be understood since he had mistaken the older female to be a relative. So when she said that she didn't understand it had him tilting his head curiously. Why couldn't his sister understand German? He thought that everyone related to him could speak the language. He still hadn't yet come to the conclusion that the older female wasn't related to him at all. That really should have been the first connection that he made but being who he was it was probably one that he would never believe. Just like it was stuck in his mind that Sascha had given him the tail tied to his own since he had said he liked it. As well as him believing that Sascha had killed their mother. Once he had a notion in mind he tended to stick with it. And since he believed that the leader was his sister that would probably remain stick there as well.

"Fish stinks." The comment was made after he had been told what the animals were. But then again he wasn't used to fish at all. This was his first time actually being up close to them. The that he got normally didn't look anything like the animal that it was and so he was still unable to relate food to being the animals that were running around in the wild. He simply assumed that dinner always came skinned so obviously hunting wasn't a skill of his. It couldn't be when he had never once done it. But there was plenty that he hadn't done and knew nothing about it. Just about every life skill was elusive to him, the sort of things that others took for granted. Like the knowledge of different animal species, Izaak simply assumed that everything was a coyote since that is what he was. It took someone correcting him for him to get it right.

After his declaration he took to sitting on his knees next to the female, watching her still. "Wha sissy doins?" And with the simple question he had pretty much summed up what he had said before. At least mostly everything excluding the introduction of the reindeer and that he thought that the other resembled him. But that last bit could be guessed at. After all, why else would he refer to the other as his sister if he didn't think them similar in appearance.

And while he waited for an answer to the question he picked up one of the fish and held it up to the reindeer. "Eats it, Blitzen." The child spoke up when the young caribou would only sniff at it. The child didn't even pause to consider that it wasn't even his fish to offer. He knew that he hadn't caught it but it was just laying on the ground so he thought that they weren't wanted or something. Or more like he is always findings things and picks them up to carry with him or do whatever he wants with and never once checking to see if they already had an owner. To Izaak, if the items weren't being touched and handled then they were fair game.
