D'aww, you didn't have to start a thread for us. You are awesome, Sie!<3 Big Grin (631 words)

It seemed as if it were going to rain. Perched on the covered porch of the mansion, straw gold studied the darkening clouds overhead. It seemed as if they had grown far too full to carry any more weight, and soon enough they’d burst open to send showers below. And yet, the girl wanted to risk it. Stepping away from D’Neville, Clover wandered south towards the borders of the clan’s land. Her mind, however, was not in the present as thoughts of a few days ago returned to her. Upon acceptance, she had not gone straight to Razekiel to tell him of her choice. Unless Kaena or one of the other members of the clan had spilled the beans, the other Lykoi would still very much be in the dark about his daughter’s sudden arrival there. He had warned her about the dangers, but Drifter Bay could no longer house her. After such long months in solitude there – such an utter reversal of life in Juniper Peace – the girl was certain she’d go crazy if she did not branch out somewhere. He’d have to accept it in the end. Really, he didn’t have much choice. Clover had been on her own for quite some time now, and it was rather obvious to her that she could make her own decisions even if she wasn’t exactly a wise, experienced adult.

Had she been focused on the ground in front of her, instead of the thoughts preoccupying her, Clover would have realized she had headed in the wrong direction. She had planned on returning to her small shack to secure a few more of her items. The pearly white guitar still lay in the dilapidated building’s shelter, as well of jars containing various odds and ends. She’d also want to harvest the last of her garden’s gifts before they wilted away under the unsurpassable cold of the first frost and the coming winter months. If she still remained in Inferni in the spring, she was sure to once again cultivate a small garden.

It wasn’t until she had gone beyond the borders and the scents changed that Clover snapped back to reality and realized her mistake. Had she gone correctly northwest she would have emerged in The Waste on the other side of the clan’s territory, before returning to the all too familiar Drifter Bay. Here, Clover was sure, was the wrong side of the Waste. She hadn’t even noticed she’d gotten turned around. The area stretching from Drifter Bay to Halifax was pretty well developed in the girl’s mind, though Inferni was still much of a mystery. Though she had lived there for a couple days now, she hadn’t ventured from the mansion much, perhaps excusing her daft mix-up.

Sighing, she let eyes gauge the clouds overhead. The deep slate gray was threatening, but she was sure she’d have more time. Silently, a streak of wetness stole away from a straw eye and dampened the mask of red. She hovered so close to sadness now, it seemed, that even this small mistake had rattled her some. "You’re so stupid sometimes," she chided herself, laughing once as she wiped at the dampness. It wasn’t until then that she realized she was not alone, eyes sweeping over the pale cream form and focusing on the dark tangle of head in hands. Her own thin arms, adorned in many bracelets, crossed over her chest while thin fingers wrapped around opposite biceps protectively, as if she were trying to hug away the cold air. It was clear she did not know this person and any information about him was lost on her. She didn’t even recognize the smell of Dahlia that mixed with his scent. And so unknowing what to expect, called lightly, "Are you.. alright?"
