The time for being a recluse was over, at least mostly. After months of being remote and keeping mostly to herself, Corona felt the inkling pull to rejoin what made up their little society. Inferni had bolstered and faded in those last few months, but with winter fast approaching she knew that those numbers would mostly stay the same. At least for the majority of their kind she felt that they weren’t really the types to be roaming around when there were feet of snow and ice on the ground.

So when Kaena’s howl had split the silence of the late autumn day, Corona for once willingly came. She felt a certain apprehension build up in her that hadn’t been there since she was a child — it was strange to be seen so easily when she had done so well to play keep away. Nearing the caves quietly, her cobalt blue eyes scanned those who had gathered there. There were those she had seen distantly in passing, but names she didn’t know, and then there were those that were completely unfamiliar to her altogether. The only ones she recognised were her mother and her brother.

After a few moments of watching the congregation get acquainted with each other, she decided to come closer, venturing in curiosity as she noted the fellow who was standing with her mother. There was a sense of camaraderie between them, but she had never seen the fellow before; he was too new from the looks of things. With a bob of her golden-haired head to the others, she threw out a straight to the point question. “What’s the occasion?” Little did Corona knew the significance of the time of year they were coming together, but she was soon to learn.
