While everyone was probably aware that she was a failure, it didn’t mean that she did not try. Sitting outside the caves, mother and son were seated outside against smooth rock, enjoying one of what was likely one of the last sunny days of autumn. The young Hydra turned to look at her growing son, smiling slightly as she felt that familiar warmth in her chest rise with maternal emotions. It was better this way, for both of them. Itachi’s eyes were definitely one of his most striking features, set in a face painted with various hues of sand, from brown to greys. The familiar colour splash on the top of his muzzle along with the saddle on his back spoke soundlessly of his Lykoi heritage. But those eyes were unlike any Lykoi’s, fiery ruby battling vibrant purple.

That had always been his mother’s weakness; she often acted before thinking and thus had stumbled into some unfortunate situations. ”She’ll be home soon,” the quiet voice of the child finally announced, turning to gaze at the copper hued woman with the maroon hued gaze. A pale smile drew a fine line on his face, but that was all. Halo nodded and shut her eyes as she turned her face back to allow the sun’s shy warmth to shower her. She had often wondered if she too should find a place to stay by the caverns so that she could be closer to her family, but the Mansion was perfect for her, and she wished to remain close to Silas.
