The boy was correct, and soon the Centurion’s form arrived. Halo gave the Matriarch a small, reserved smile, but the boy’s appreciation for the silvery form leaped to the surface straight away. Was it a touch of jealousy stabbing through her just now? Ruby eyes microscopically narrowed at the two’s warm greeting, but she forced her gaze to travel away and tried to act untouched. She could not be surprised; the boy lived with his grandmother and their bonds were probably stronger than that between herself and the boy. It was a shame, but she made certain to keep her mouth shut to avoid complication.

Itachi leaned into the loving nuzzle with a content smirk on his wolfish face. His silvery tail moved enthusiastically back and forth as he settled closer to the silvery, one-eyed woman, happily oblivious of his mother’s silent jealousy. He did not know that this settlement was something out of the ordinary. He only knew of the world seen through his bicoloured orbs. As the only child in the clan, he did not know any better. Soon though, his gaze turned back to the copper woman that should have ruled his entire world had she managed the role as his mother. ”How’s it going with you two?” the Lykoi woman wondered quietly, smiling still despite feeling rather sad.
