There was faint shame in Eris for her failure to hunt, but she obscured this feeling well enough. It was alright by her to be a little shameful, so long as her belly was filled -- that was more important in the end, after all. The chartreuse-eyed woman still watched her painted partner, yellow-green eyes glittering fascination as he alternatively ate and spoke. Though she did not have a verbal response to his compliment, she smiled at it, and when he spoke of the eyes, the woman laughed aloud, finding this a wonderful sentiment. The extended piece of heart was taken graciously, with a tip of her head toward the man. “Lovely,” she said, sliding the piece of flesh into her mouth slowly and savoring the taste, grinning devilishly. As he looped the intestines about her head and neck, she inclined it further, murmuring her approval in with a low, rumbling whine.

“If I am a goddess, then you are a painted king,” she said, sweetly—of course, a compliment. She knew, though, there was no goddess in her. Momoztli would have chosen her long ago for what she had given up. The woman reached a hand upwards and adjusted her crown of entrails, then pulled the next corpse closer to her, between the pair of canines. She split it expertly with her long claws, pulling it apart eagerly to retrieve the seat of power. Drawing the small liver from its cavity, she drew along eyebrows, right above her eyes. It smeared thickly, and then she reached for the strangers face, motioning to make the same markings across his face. “There's not much magic in these rabbits. Too stupid,” the woman said disappointedly, aching for something with meaning. Her supplies of mushrooms and peyotl were dangerously low, and she did not know if she would be able to grow more much longer. Inferni was dreadful, at times, and her plants were safely tucked away in the greenhouse.
