no problem lovely

The sable-shaded woman looked at him sharply, failing to fully comprehend the ritual. They had shared a soul, certainly, but what deep bond did that give them? Eris did not know, but she would not question his beliefs. The Atototzli were not fanatical or insistent of their correctness; traders who were not of the religion were tolerated. She did not respond to this statement verbally, but she did smile and tip her head ever so slightly, leaving it most of the way upright as not to disturb the crown of entrails he had set upon her head. “You've already proven your worth in service,” the hybrid said quietly, pulling a chunk of flesh from the rabbit and holding it up for him, a faint smile on her face. Here was someone who appreciated the beauty of flesh and blood. As she wiped the gooey remnants of the rabbit across his face there was a smile there on it, his teeth bared in appreciation or anticipation; the sable-shaded woman could not tell.

He spoke again, and the woman listened in earnest, her coal-colored ears cupped toward him and her yellow-green eyes stealing glances at him, even as she worked to tear another piece of flesh from the rabbit. Hunger still gnawed faintly at her, and she chewed slowly, contemplating his words and looking at him sharply. “Nothing better than those,” she said, laughing a quiet yet gleeful laugh. “It would happen I can help you with that, my painted king,” she said, standing slowly. The sable-shaded woman did not, of course, carry these things on her, but they were not so far from Inferni that they could not travel there. She could cross the borders herself and retrieve them -- maybe he would even want to do them with her? She had buried her supply after wrapping it to keep it as fresh as possible, and she had not touched them since she had the pleasure of walking that twisted road with Larkspur.
