Izaak had come from Germany so he was used to cold winters and snow. So the chill to the air didn't really bother him too much. And of course Blitzen wasn't fussed either because reindeer were able to withstand arctic temperatures. Actually their hooves hardened in order to deal with frozen ground. So the boys had nothing at all to worry about. Both were able to adapt to the colder weather easily enough. And with the way that Izaak ran around and burned up energy he often couldn't feel the cold at all because of how active he was. And with Izaak being active Blitzen was as well since he was always trailing after the coyote child.

Despite the rank that he had the boy had done nothing at all to earn it. It didn't even matter to him because he didn't work on the skill set that accompanied it. The only time that he was violent was during his blackouts. Otherwise he was a cheerful and happy little guy. But that was because he had no idea about the awful things that he had done. Actually there were a lot of things that he didn't know. All those little things that everyone else took for granted were among the things that Izaak knew nothing about. The basics of life were lost on him.

Blitzen moved from his spot and trotted around to a different park of the shore. It was hard to tell if he was just separating himself from the predator that had arrived or to get away from Izaak's splashing. After all the animal tended to stick close to Izaak when in the presence of others, keeping the coyote between himself and all others. And it was quite clear that he wasn't enjoying being splashed because he kept on shaking his head and body to rid it of the water. But Izaak didn't seem to understand this since he had kept on splashing water on his companion with a fit of giggles.

At least until he had noticed the female that had approached. Never having a real interaction with her he didn't recognize her in the slightest. "Hallo. Ich weiß nicht Geist." He replied with a shake of his head. As always he started out with German until he was told that the other couldn't understand him or that they were unable to speak the language. After all his English wasn't the best since grammar rules didn't apply to him. And well, he had an accent so that made it worse and harder to understand. It didn't stop him from trying though, at least on all the occasions that he had to try to speak English. And it wasn't like his mistakes were corrected for him to know any better anyways. Instead he just made the best with what he did know. He could at least carry on a conversation for the most part. That had to count for something at least. It wasn't like there was an impenetrable language barrier there.
