Perhaps physically they were near in age but who could say about mentally. After all they had been raised under different circumstances and in entirely different manners. There was no doubt that she was much more mature than he was. After all he was laughing and splashing about while she was more calm. He also spoke in a simple fashion. But perhaps that was just because he had to translate. After all he spoke better in German, actually using complete and correct sentences. He faltered in English though. But then again English was a second language for him so he really shouldn't be expected to be as adept at it.

The boy seemed lost in his own world, forgetting about the female when she wasn't speaking. But that was just the way that he was. He easily lost himself in his own amusement and would forget about the world around him. He would lose himself into his own things. He had quite the short attention span. Things of interest prompted him to forget about whatever he had been doing previously. Actually it was lucky that he hadn't lost interest in Blitzen and forgotten all about him. Though that could be because the animal moved and so that was enough to distract him from other things and attract his attention. Other things that he collected went forgotten about. All except for the tail that he had gotten from his brother. That one remained tied to his own tail at almost all times and was a cherished possession.

When Blitzen stepped away from the water, moving entirely out of splash range, it was obvious that he tired of the game. This prompted Izaak to start to climb out of the water. "Wohin gehst du?" He called out after the reindeer. The child had always used German whenever he spoke to the albino caribou. Whether what he said was actually understood or not was still debatable but Blitzen acted appropriately most times. But then it could only be prompted by Izaak's actions and tone as well. Still, he paused in following Blitzen to look back at the female as it was mentioned that his name had never been mentioned. "Yous noes asks." But then again he had never asked for hers either. But he was simply used to others coming and going all the time and never knowing their names. "Izaak." He gave his name and pointed to himself. He then pointed towards his companion to introduce him as well. "Blitzen."

With introductions over the boy pulled himself out of the water to see where Blitzen was going. "Warte auf mich!" He called out after the animal and took off running after the slow moving creature. It was quite possible that Blitzen had only gotten tired of standing around in one place and was just moving around to graze but with Izaak now out of the water and walking around the animal started to follow after the coyote. Or well they were actually walking side by side to who knew where, neither actually leading but both just walking.
