The dank scent of fire, and iron hung closely to the walls and shop. With the slightest movement the hanging various forms of steel would shift in chorus as they clanged together in differing rhythms. Saluce sat and watched with almost uncaring eyes as the youth stepped forward with a sickening confidence. He rarely found himself uncaring of youth or the mood he currently was in but there wasn’t much changing it now.
“So you want to learn how to use that? Or do you just want to learn how to play with it? Are you really prepared to use the skills I’d teach you to kill someone?” he asked not really caring if it was a touchy subject. Saluce turned and walked back to his forge looking over his current projects hoping either the boy would lose interest or speak the wrong word so he could usher him out quickly and return to his dark thoughts. He didn’t want to be this way, but for now he couldn’t shake the bad demons, couldn’t get rid of the clouds that hung over his head.
Those eyes looked back up after a few moments passed as he sat down the crude form of a sword handle to look over the young male. Sighing quietly he studied him, not as big as his brother, but he seemed to have a certain air about him that screamed perfectionist. If for nothing else he could be a help around the forge if he wanted to stick around. That is if he didn’t continue being rude to the young lad.
“So why do you want to learn how to use that dagger? What’s the real reason?”
