It had been a full day for the Knight. He had woken early, as usual, and headed out to the stables. It had been some time since he had given Drogon a full brush down, so he took the time to do that before they headed out on their patrol of the borders. While the weather was warmer than it had been, the wind was blowing fiercely and made his daily task into a rather unpleasant one. The sharp wind cut straight through his clothes and fur, biting at his skin and he knew it could not have been much more pleasant for his companion. It become so cumbersome that he actually turned them back towards the stables a little over halfway through. The last thing that he needed was for either of them to become ill. When they had returned he had carefully picked Drogon's hooves and brushed out his mane and tail again. The Aatte had then gotten his hay and grain together, and set him comfortably inside his stall with a blanket over him.
Daylight was becoming shorter, and by the time he made it back to the house the evening was already creeping up on the lands. Haven walked into the house without a word, tired out from battling the wind all the way through his abbreviated patrol. Usually he called out a greeting to Princess to see if she was in but instead he made a beeline for their room and he fell back upon their bed, placing one arm over his eyes. A nap would be quite nice he thought as he could feel sleep nagging at his consciousness. As his mind drifted slowly away, he vaguely wondered if Princess had made any progress in her contemplations on them starting a family. The Seneschal hadn't broached the subject again, not wanting to pressure her. He trusted his mate to let him know when she was ready. A heavy sigh was pushed from his lungs as he let all his muscles relax, letting a light sleep envelope him.
