Saul Stormbringer
Saul was on a quest for knowledge. It was a simple quest in essence- to find teachers that would teach him anything and everything he might find useful. He was a pratical child at heart and he knew what he wanted. He wanted to learn, he knew he was clever and he was very much determined to learn all the world would throw at him. He wanted to learn to read and to write, he was fast on his way to learning to hunt thanks to Conor but he needed to know more. He wanted to do all those things that had become other's specialities, like playing an instrument and making sweet music or fishing like his brother Gideon could. He would seek his darker brother out soon and ask him to help him learn to fish, one could never know where that would come in handy. It excited the young Stormbringer to no end that he was filling his head with everything he could ever need to be a better member of Dahlia de Mai.

Today, however, his thoughts were far from his quest for knowledge. Today, his mind was totally preoccupied with his family. He had seen Conor just days before and their leader had seemed upset and distracted. It had reminded Saul instantly of his Aunt Bris, who, for reasons he didnt understand, had become reserved and upset as of late. He was worried about her and he was going to find out if there was anything he could do to help. Maybe his newly acquired skills would come in handy, or maybe his ear would be a good enough tool to make his aunt happy again. He was an excellent listener and he would very much like to hear what his Aunt had to say. She had been skulking around the place, never staying long enough to have a conversation and mostly always with a look of concern on her face.

The sky was overcast and a few spatterings of rain caught Saul's now-fully formed tail as he slipped into the house. His morning run had been short, his mind totally distracted by his snowy relative. His bath had been short too, but that was more to do with temperature than anything else. He realised all too soon that Autumn was curving into Winter without them noticing, the waters getting colder and the weather darkening. The days were shorted it appeared, because sundown came much earlier than he was used to. Saul was entering his first winter, and he was souly glad he was doing so in the company of a pack and his family. Standing in the large hallway that was always a pleasure to view, Saul shook his tail to relieve it of the water. Glancing upstairs, Saul took a gamble and bounded upward. His aunt would be in, wouldnt she?

"Aunt Bris? Aunt Bris, it's Saul. Can I come in?"

He asked, slipping softly into his optime form so he could knock politely on the door before dropping back down into his lupus. It was his preferred form at the moment, having lived all his life in it so far. Green eyes searched the knots on the door as if he could see through them and to his aunt. She would be home, he hoped with imaginary crossed fingers. He really wanted to talk to her.
