Curiosity had once again gotten the best of him, and so despite the early hour, the young male found himself by the coyote clan’s borders. Ignorant eyes observed the skulls and their various stages of decay. Most were picked clean and bleached by the varying weather, but the few gruesome sights were not all that horrible in the boy’s eyes. As a predator by nature, such seeings were far more common than one would initially think. The male’s throat remained silent as he bared milky white teeth at the sorry sights. According to his mother these wolves had committed sins against the clan. He ached for details of such crimes, but there was none willing to offer him a colourful description of the coyote’s history here.

The young Lykoi was not oblivious of what he resembled, but he was not brought up with racism like his mother. In fact he knew nothing of this outside world beyond Inferni, and he desired to change that. He was aware of his own ignorance and so despised those who wished to keep him in the dark. He was a child for certain, and therefore possessed the uncanny stubbornness of a brat. One step lead to another and soon he had left the clan’s borders far behind. His slim muzzle remained close to the organic floor as he inhaled a fresh variety of scents, both new and old. He felt quite brave, and as a silent proof of this his dirty blonde tail waved proudly for display for all that were to spot his growing form as he continued to wander further away from the safety of the clan.
