for Poppy! 300+

Lolita stood outside in the brisk air, not exactly thrilled by how cold it was becoming. The sun was beginning to peek over the vines surrounding the large Victorian house where she lived with Pippa and her three daughters, and the creamy woman was thankful for that, at least. It was early, and the Monroe woman did not know whether or not any of her family would wake soon, but she was enjoying the last bit of time outside where the sun shone and did not reflect off of snow. The snow would come soon, she was sure, and she was far from pleased about it. Though she was half wolf and a good portion Alaskan Malamute, Lolita had always taken after the shepherd side of her family. As a result, her frame was small, her fur thin, and her ears large. None of those things were particularly conducive to feeling comfortable in the snow. She did so hate the snow.

Flame-colored hair fell down her back in small tangles, uncombed as it usually was. Lolita turned to face the tower near the front door, jade eyes falling to rest where her two lost children now lay forever. The tears she had shed for them were long gone by now, and she had spent her time focusing on those that lived, rather than mourning those lost. She turned away then, refusing to allow herself more than a moment to think of Orchid and Iris. They were gone, and while it was indeed sad, Lolita needed to focus on Poppy, Magnolia, and Foxglove. Lifting her hands to the vines overhead that surrounded the entire area, she plucked a leaf off gently, twirling it between lithe fingers. Her thoughts were scattered, though none were particularly important. It was a very calm, uneventful morning.
