Taking care of the horse wasn't difficult. Lexington roamed Crimson Dreams freely, never wandering further than the Manor's orchard. Kansas rarely had to spend more than a few minutes searching for the stallion when he needed him, strange considering that Lexington was at liberty to wander off whenever he wanted. The only explanation Kansas could come up with was that there was plenty of grass, twigs and shrubs for Lexington to eat around the Manor. The boy liked to think that the stallion enjoyed his companionship too much to run away, but that could be a lot to expect of a horse's nature. Lexington was definitely sweet, but Kansas didn't think there was much going on between his ears.

Kansas snickered when the boy's calm features were lit with excitement. Well yeah, he spoke. Kansas grabbed the dark blue mane and lifted himself onto the horse's wide back. His brow furrowed as he thought of how to get his son seated behind him. He didn't want Silvano to fall; Lexington stood pretty far above the earth. His figuring was interrupted by Silvano's comment, and he laughed again. We'll be okay. He's had your mom and I on his back, and a heavy bag, he explained, remembering the night he had taken Savina into Ethereal Eclipse with a a smile. Kansas scratched behind his ear and then offered his pale hand for Silvano to take. Eh... Pull yourself up on your belly, and sit up. He'll stay still. It was intimidating to climb up so far, but Lexington wouldn't give them any problems. Kansas had taken several unsuccessful tries to mount the first time, flailing around, yet the horse had never flinched. I won't let you fall, he reassured.
