That's what we do

His frown deepened in concentration when she began to speak, but quickly dissipated when she admitted there was nothing amiss. He nodded curtly in response, glad to hear that there were no serious threats now. While it was a relief in one way, he sorely missed the Dahlian Wars. Even if it meant there was a wolf pack running about the lands murdering innocent Inferni members, it gave him purpose. Now, he was next to useless.

His ears perked up when she amended her first statement and his frown threatened to return. His brow twitched as he listened, but he did not have any reason to express his displeasure now. He considered her request for a moment, weighing the arguments in favour of and against assisting her. While he found her to be rather lofty in her ideals and carried herself with a sense of arrogance, she seemed less like herself today. He supposed if she kept this up, he wouldn’t mind teaching her how to fight. After all, sparring helped both of them: to advance their skills and better protect Inferni. He supposed that sparring with Halo was preferable to sparring – or even interacting with – that bratty Sepirah child.

“Fine,” he conceded. He wanted to demand something in return, but he needed nothing. All he wanted was blood and war. This was perhaps the closest thing he could get. “Begin now?”
