Dark Paths Crossed

Thanks. <3333

The forest was not as familiar to the sable-shaded woman as it should have been, and Eris found herself moving more slowly, lagging with the heavy bundle in her arms. She wished she had her own horse, but even so, using it here would have been stupid -- she might as well have announced to the pack that she was on her way if she had come galloping in on a horse. Eris had not yet found anything suitable for Itzcitla to wear, and she did not want to put him on the ground, so she shifted him around, tucking the package underneath her arm and holding him something like a baby. The cat protested and growled, and the woman sighed softly, hesitating for a moment.

There was the distinctive and nervous feeling the shadow-furred hybrid was being watched, and she turned around a few times slowly, her chartreuse-shaded eyes narrowing. “Are you following me, Sepirah?” she asked, still unable to see her dark-furred relative and uncertain that anyone at all was following her. The question hung for a moment on the open air, and the woman remained, still but for the silver cloud of her breath as it rose in steady plumes into the night.
