+5 OOC: Post Dated for the 13th Smile

Niro was finding it easier to venture out into the outer reaches of his pack lands. Further away even… ever since he had started going to Dahlia to check on his children, though there were times where he’d howl and wait for hours, but he was trying… Lolita was trying to keep his children away from him, it angered him to no end… but today that ws not what was on his mind. He’d been teaching Marahute tracking, and the hardest part was in a deep forest… not hard for her but for the both of them as Niro couldn’t always see where she was in the thick of the forest, so this training was nt just for the bird but for the owner as well. He made his usual whistles for her to scout, and let her head off on her own, keeping his spot, looking for any signs of where she was, it was spacifically hard, and he moved in the direction she flew, keeping his eyes open… just waiting for his bird to make any sign that she’d found a herd nearby…

This is why I don’t hunt in the forest.

Niro muttered as he put his hands on his belt, the only decoration, besides the bracelet that Orin had given to him. He looked around him making sure he knew where he was, the last time he’d been here, he’d gotten lost and made it almost to Dahlia… that was so long ago, he’d been lucky enough to get an escort back to his own pack, the woman had been a strange one, but he had hoped he’d meet up with her again, but there was no luck in that. He hoped she was well as he was thinking about her. As he thought though, Marahute flew through the trees. (it was easy enough to see her as she moved in through the leafeless trees) and perched on a branch staring right at him., a sign meaning she did not find anything within five miles of him… if she’d found something she would look in that direction… at least that was what Niro was trying to teach her, well the training was going well and he held up his arm, he’d find his way further in and see if she could find anything. He hated the forest hunts but as they had quite a few of those back home in the woods, he wanted to make a challenge for himself, though he was in no way hunting right now, and he doubted his pack would leave the packlands to hunt he was going to be prepared for anything. He moved, the dead leaves crunching beneath his feet, winter was in their midsts but it seemed this area had been saved from the snow that was patching around everywhere else. He was beginning to love the snow, as he nearly blended in, though his mohawk wasn’t a god match, nor his fur was much of a perfect one either as it was more grey than white, he loved playing in it… so he was sad as he saw that this area didn’t have much evidence of snow.
