469 words. Wheeeee! <3 DIRT ALERT.

The pack that she ventured into was unlike any other Shiloh had seen. Of course, she had yet to visit other packs of the lands, but none she had seen or heard of had been so.. primitive. Totem poles lined entrances, furs and leathers and ivory made for decoration over hut-like houses. It seemed that the AniWayans enjoyed living this way, taking what nature had to offer and using and re-using what the world offered. Shiloh had briefly heard stories of these kinds of wolves, who believed in spirits and that every rock, tree, and animal had a spirit, one that guided the wolves throughout their lives.

She had to tear her glistening cerulean eyes away from the scene, there would definitely be time for that later. The pristine female's thoughts seemed to be answered by the black female in front of her, who guided all of them to the stables. "It's.. different." Well, it was. From what she herself saw, it wasn't a bad kind of different. But in a way, their customs seemed to be sleeping on the hard packed dirt, and a small shiver coursed through her body just thinking of it. The white female hoped she wouldn't have to do that, tonight.

But when Liliana mentioned something about 'the smell', Shiloh's nose didn't even have to be told. She could scent it as they drew near to the stables, and the smell grew thicker and more rancid. "Augh!" The young damsel said aloud, immediately plunging her nose into the depths of her leather coat. What an awful smell it was, too! This wasn't at all what Shiloh had imagined about horses - graceful, majestic horses, that ran as free as the wind across fields of gold, manes flowing out behind them. No, no.

Reluctantly, the white and cream colored female entered the stables after Lili and her horse. Her nose stayed inside her coat, though the smell permeated through the thick garment rather easily. If only clothes were made to hide smells. Shiloh glanced around through the top of her coat, which hid everything below her eyes. There were cows inside, which didn't help the scents of the stables. Truthfully, Shiloh had expected to smell fresh grass and clean air, not.. not this.

The horses, she saw, were of many different markings and patterns, which intrigued Shiloh. Her muzzle lifted up only slightly, watching as the heads of the horses, from behind each of their stalls, looked up at the three that entered. "How lovely," she muffled through her coat. Shiloh wasn't trying to be rude, but the stink was beyond what she imagined. And though the Dawnbringer female wasn't thinking of it then, as she looked at each horse, how many baths she'd have to take to get the arid smell off of her.
