You're not supposed to know where your daughter is

She had been living in Jaded Shadows for over a week, now, but that wasn't making it any easier. She didn't know what she had been expecting when she went away...but it wasn't this. Dierdre had thought that she was doing Pilot a favor by leaving; she hadn't been able to keep her disloyalty a secret any longer, and she had already guessed his reaction. But something kept making her coming back. Maybe it was the lands, maybe it was Pilot, maybe it was her brothers and sisters that still lived here. Or perhaps a combination of all three things.

She had come into the territory earlier that day, taking advantage of the lack of security. Half the pack probably wouldn't even know that she had left, unless Pilot had told them about it. She wondered how he was doing...how he was taking it. She knew that he was a strong leader and that he woud do well...but she wanted to see it with her own eyes. Wanted to see him.

She sat down next to the river, leaning over with some difficulty to cup water in her hands. She had taken to her werewolf form for the length of her pregnancy; she had been told that it could be dangerous to the little ones inside if she was constantly shifting back and forth between the two forms. She brought her cupped hands to her lips, taking a drink. The water in Jaded Shadows tasted different than the water here. Worse, she thought.

The heavily pregnant female gave a slight "oomph" as she sat down, putting her swollen ankles in the water. A nice rest, and then she would be on her way. She hadn't been able to find Pilot today...but maybe she would run into him on the way out.
