Is Scorpius still coming? I could NPC him in one of my posts if Nuki can’t get in to post soon enough, since you want Zak gone ASAP. One more post from each of you and then we're done? wc: 623

She had been trying to take a nap when she had heard the first growl. Naniko had dismissed this sound at first, assuming that it was two pack members having some sort of a dispute. As long as no one was dead, she wasn’t really concerned with scuffles or disagreements between members. Naniko had bigger and better things to do with her time. If they felt that the matter was really pressing then she supposed that she could take some time and listen to their concerns, but if it was a petty matter then she would probably be pretty annoyed that they hadn’t solved it themselves. Certain things wouldn’t be tolerated, though, of course. She still needed to think of some kind of a punishment for wolves who disobeyed her or broken pack law but who hadn’t done anything quite bad enough to get kicked out of the pack. She wasn’t sure about the idea of ever kicking someone out of the pack…just punishing them for what they had done. Give them an eye for an eye, perhaps.

Some more shouting and growling was enough to rouse her. The large white female was in her optime form and used her hands to rub her eyes, giving a long yawn and a stretch before she headed out the door of her den. Her den was closest to the entrance of the caves, thus she had been able to hear some of what was going on between the two canines outside. Naniko grabbed her weapons-belt as she walked out, putting it around her waist and strapping it there securely. She had three daggers total, two short ones that were tipped in poison and one longer one for a more combat-like situation. It would all depend on whether she felt that the thread should be injured or whether it would be easier to simply kill whoever or whatever it was. With prey, she would have to use the longer one; the poison on the shorter ones wouldn’t be good to put into meat that she was planning on consuming.

Naniko approached the pair and immediately saw the problem; the foreign canine smelled horrible to her, their scent obviously of one of the neighboring packs or clans. It was one strong, solid scent and not a series of fading scents like what one would usually find on a lone wolf or wanderer. He was from somewhere. Theodore’s words echoed through her mind, giving her thoughts a suspicious edge to them. Inferni spy? It made sense to her…the male had gotten so close to their home, so close to her den where her son slept. What if something had happened to him? Had this stranger come to kidnap her child and take him to Inferni?

She pulled one of her short daggers from her belt, going to stand beside Theodore. ”You think you’re going to get away with this, Spy? You’re not! What do you want with my pack?” She wanted to get information out of him if she could, but if she couldn’t then killing him would send a clear message back to whoever had sent him. If she didn’t hear any more from Inferni after she took care of this intruder, then she would go there and demand to speak to Kaena. She hadn’t expected her would-be friend Kaena to have sent someone like this…but perhaps it was the other leader, the son of Ahren. ”If he doesn’t give me the right answer then I’ll take care of him, Theodore. The poison on this dagger is potent; he’d be dead before he could get at us.” She could probably drag the carcass to their borders herself, if the warrior didn’t want to help her with that.
