A continuation of this thread so dated for nov 8! short fast posts are good I think. 305.

Range lead them back to the Victorian style house and Nayru entered in after him, her nostrils twitching for the scent of Melee and Gideon. Gideon would surely be proud of his adoptive son's catch, even if Nayru had had a helping hand in the creature's demise. To be able to share it with Gideon and Melee would surely be something special. Often Nayru thought of her first kill, which had been the beginning of one of her favorite pastimes. Hunting. Neither Conor nor Bris had been presented with her first fresh kill, but she had brought both of them many more that had come after. Still, had she been in the proper state of mind she might had taken a break to share the moment with someone. But no, even under Larkspur's gaze it had been private. Smeared in blood the moment had been her's, and it was perhaps the lack of perspective Conor or Bris had to lend that left her feeling so desperate for her next kill, and so remorseless for the life she had taken.

Range surely didn't feel that way, or at least Nayru thought he did not as crimson eyes swept over the boy again. He had seemed hesitant, but even after the kill had taken place. Nor did he seem all too eager to repeat the act. That was fine, not all had to embrace hunting with such fervor as she did. Perhaps it was better that he didn't. Turning away from the boy with the rabbit hanging out his mouth Nayru cleared out her throat, her gentle voice echoed in the halls of the home. "Gideon? Melee? Are either of you here?" Ruby eyes turned toward Range and she opened them wide, as if to question if he knew where his father or sister had gone to.
