This time, everything would go much more smoothly, and the atmosphere would be different. He did not mind that it would only be the two of them there, and in fact, he preferred it that way. Though he spent the majority of his time in his four-legged forms, he now shifted so that he could use the deft hands that were of his two-legged form, and he set himself to starting the fire once more. It needed to be warm and comfortable in the house for both his mate's comfort and for the safety of their puppies once they arrived. The air was cold, for winter was upon them, and he did not want to risk anything happening because the house was not warm enough. Once the fire was going strongly, he returned to his mate's side, having resumed his preferred form. He stood protectively by her, though he did not want to crowd her. He hoped that she would be comfortable enough. "Don't worry about thinking, love. It will all be okay. I am right here with you," he said encouragingly. This was something that wolves and dogs had been doing for all of time; he knew that Ayita would be okay, even if he was still nervous.
