sorry for the wait

With Ever doing her shareof the chores around the stables there was only so much to do and now that she had finished up with her morning routine around the stables Anann wasn't quite sure what to do with herself for the day. It did not help that the stables were not the sanctuary they had once been for the golden fem, serving only to remind her that Heath had left. Her closest friend, her confidant, was gone. And what with the winter weather making it difficult to train with Rem, Anann was left with only her own training regiment and pushing herself too hard there would only earn her Anatoliy's concern.

Anatoliy. Anann gave a heavy sigh, thinking perhaps it was time she go home. She had done her best to stay away from the cabin during the day, having refused to let herself seek comfort from the emotional pain in her lover's arms. Foolish perhaps, but in her mind it would be too much like using him. Besides, she didn't want him to see her like this, her heart aching with the absence of another man. It did not matter that Heath had been like a brother to her. A part of her couldn't help but be concerned that the Russian would not understand and she did not want her own pain to end up hurting him as well. Not thinking of the damage her avoidance might cause instead.

Just as she had come to the eventual conclusion that she would just head on home after all she heard the sounds of someone approaching. Her gaze did not rise to meet the approaching figure until the unfamiliar scent wafted up her nose. Umber eyes looked hard at the unknown male. "Hello." She responded just as plainly. Not bothering to he'd discrete as she looked him over as she stood, centering her weight on her feet and longer using the wall behind her for support. His frame was tall and thick. Well muscled. Though it was the manner with which he held himself that gave away the warrior. A head held high with pride, not unlike her own. "Who are you?" her tone gruff and holding the authority that was rightfully hers. She eyed the rabbits in his hand and took another sniff. He smelled vaguely of the court, distinctly the hotel, but he was not of the court. Just who the hell was he?
