All the little pieces falling, shattered.

I left it open so you can come in either when he’s laying there or find him when he was running and then talk to him when he’s laying there. Whichever Smile

Everything was caving in on him at once. Ember is gone forever. His life just kept getting more and more uninteresting with each day, and Moonfyre wasn’t sure how long he could take it anymore. He might’ve gone crazy if he hadn’t left there when he did. There as in Aniwaya. Everything he looked at in that pack threw all these memories of Ember at him. His father always told him not to cry over a girl, but this time he couldn’t help it. Ember was his first and only, how could he not feel rejected?

It was a sad day for him just like many others. He had decided to leave his pack and home behind the night before. He hadn’t said anything to anyone about his leave. Moonfyre stayed low in the dark grass hoping no one would see him. He didn’t want to explain himself to anyone else. He knew what his reason for this was, and no one around him knew what he was going through. His paws felt heavy with every step, and he knew he shouldn’t be running away from his troubles, but he just couldn’t stay there anymore.

Finally, the fence around the territory was in view. He picked up his pace and quickly slipped through the opening without anyone noticing him. Once he was out, he stopped crawling and ran in a steady pace into the darkness. His bag of items clanked on his back as he four-leggedly escaped his old home. In the bag was his green blanket that he loved, a book about Nova Scotian History, and the third item was around his neck. It was a crescent moon shaped pendent with a stone in the middle that matched his blue eyes. The necklace was known to be magical to him. As far as he knew, it wasn’t because it could’ve saved him from all the pain he’d went through over the past months.

He ran through the rest of the surrounding lands on Aniwaya. He had no idea where he was going, but he kept running. He kept running until he couldn’t anymore, and he collapsed in the wet grass. His panting was heavy at first, but as he lay there, not moving, his breathing slowed down. He realized running would not solve anything, and a single tear rolled down his cheek. He didn’t move and blended in very well with the darkness. Everything was engulfed except for his glowing eyes. He lay on his side with tears rolling from his eyes hoping no one would find him like this. He called out to the skies with pain in his heart.

Why’d you have to leave me like this, Ember?!
